Arrival and check-in at Hotel.
7:30 pm.
Orientation and drinks at Aglaia's House, followed by
WELCOME DINNER
with the group and a few Kea residents and visiting friends.
9:30 am.
Cooking class: making dolmas, (stuffed grape leaves) for meze; preparing and cooking artichokes
OR making stuffed vegetables, to serve with
lamb OR kid roasted in the wood-fired oven.
12.30 pm.
Greek wine tasting
Followed by long Mediterranean lunch with dishes prepared in class.
Evening free to explore the island’s taverns (list will be provided).
9:30 am
Cooking class: making traditional breads, plain and stuffed; frying zucchini blossoms and other vegetables, and making skordalia (garlic spread) with almonds.
Lunch with dishes prepared in class.
1:30 pm
Return to hotel for a brief rest.
4:00 pm
Drive to Stavroudaki, the starting point for the Karthaea archaeological site (a 30-minute hike) along the ancient trail to the wonderful temples by the sea.
7:30 pm.
Drinks and meze after the hike.
